Well, we've come to that time of the year where companies lose millions, maybe billions, in lost revenue and productivity as their employees fret over their college basketball brackets.  It's been an amazing season with tons of unbelievable games and breathtaking action.  That's right...the Women's NIT Tournament is here...Finally.  People are really excited driving "WNIT" up to number three on Google Hot Trends.

The match ups are going to be announced any minute now since the Women's NCAA field is finally set.  That was a nail biter for me...I mean...wow...New Mexico made it in after all.  Those Lady Lobos always seem to come through.

Now, I'll be the first to admit, women's basketball is an acquired taste.  Some say it's boring, what without any dunks, blocks, steals, fast breaks, or jump shots.  Methodical offensive plays over and over can be really exciting.  The set shot should have never gone the way of the ABA along with its crazy red, white and blue ball.  Come on.  It's just not right.

Granted, women's basketball was not my first choice of sports to watch, but you make due.  I checked the listings today and none of my standby sports were on.  That's right, I went through them all and nothing.  No curling, caber toss, skee ball, cribbage, fencing, race walking, duck, duck, goose, croquet, catfish noodling, hurling (yes, not curling...hurling), unicycle bowling, elephant polo, or cup stacking.  Zero.  So, women's basketball came next...and just in time.  I was going to have to go to water polo next.

The Women's NIT...let me see if I have this straight...the teams that weren't good enough to make the Women's NCAA Tournament playing against each other.  Team like Idaho State, Radford, South Dakota State, Florida Gulf Coast, and perennial powerhouse Iona.  Wow.  Put this on TV and Michael Bolton on the Muzak and you have what I would likely experience for eternity in hell.  The thought of this alone is what keeps me from using the f-bomb on this site and cheating on my taxes (nothing to see here IRS...move along).

Holy crap...by the way...if you didn't click on the Michael Bolton hyperlink before, do it now.  Make sure your speakers are turned up.  You'll think twice about not reporting those tips this year.
