Whitehall City Council
To
Hear Testimony On A Pit Bull Ban
Monday,
March 10th, 2008

Whitehall City Council in Ohio
will meet on Tuesday, March 18th, 2008 at 6:30-7:00 pm to hear testimony
in opposition to the proposed Breed Specific Legislation
(BSL) banning pit bulls in the city. We received a press release
from Shana Klein, President of the Canine
Advocates Of Ohio, requesting that anyone who is able to
attend the Council meeting do so.
"Everyone must attend the meeting
to show that we are not going to allow Ohio cities to keep interfering
with our rights to own companion animals," Shana wrote. "Please do
not allow this proposed ban to pass. All people desiring to testify
in opposition of the proposed ban will have three minutes to
testify. Even if you do not like speaking, you must stand up for 3
minutes to support these dogs and stop another ban."
Canine
Advocates of Ohio ask that anyone who is a Whitehall resident, business
owner, vet, trainer, or anyone in Northeast Ohio who desires to have a say
in the BSL issue attend Whitehall City Council at 360 S. Yearling Rd., Whitehall, Ohio
43213.
Additionally, to obtain information on drafting a
letter to the City Council Members on this issue, you may contact Shana at
shana@canineadvocatesofohio.org,
or at their website here.
