White House Calls Pulitzer Prize Winner Gutter Journalist
Thursday, August 7th, 2008 by Connie T.
You're going to be absolutely shocked by this, but the White House has
denied any claims made by Ron Suskind
that the CIA forged ties between Saddam Hussein and 9/11. Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist
Suskind penned the book "The Way of the World: A Story of Truth and Hope in an Age of Extremism"
about orders the CIA was allegedly given to equate Iraq's nuclear threat with the attacks of
September 11th, 2001.
White House Press Secretary Tony Fratto gave the statement:
The allegation that the White House directed anyone to forge a document from [Tahir Jalil Habbush al-Tikriti]
to Saddam [Hussein] is just absurd. Ron Suskind makes a living from gutter journalism. He is
about selling books and making wild accusations that no one can verify, including the numerous
bipartisan commissions that have reported on pre-war intelligence. Are we still calling
the pre-war reports "intelligence?"
