Just How Do You Define A Maverick?
Friday, October 3rd, 2008 by Connie T.

Alright, so we all know that Governor Sarah Palin has taken John McCain's
term "Maverick" and used it for
herself as well: they're just a team of mavericks, now, those two. I'd like to take
this opportunity to post the definition of the word maverick. 1. an
unbranded calf, cow, or steer, esp. an unbranded calf that is separated from it's mother. Nope,
it can't be that one. Although he does wear them on
his feet.2. a lone dissenter, as an intellectual, an artist, or a politician,
who takes an independent stand apart from his or her associates. I guess it's this
one, but wouldn't that refer to his years in the Senate prior to 2007? Because he himself has said that he matches up
to the Bush administration 90%+ of the time now.3. an electro-optically guided
U.S. air-to-ground tactical missile for destroying tanks and other hardened targets at
ranges up to 15 mph. Wait, maybe it's that one.
