Michael Vick Prepares For Sentencing

UPDATE: Vick's Sentencing and
Startling Admissions 12/11/07

We still don't know why Michael Vick decided
to turn himself in early, when he had until today at 10:00 a.m. EST to
surrender to U.S. marshals for sentencing and incarceration on federal
dogfighting charges. This writer speculates it having to do with
attempting to look responsible for United States District Judge Henry E.
Hudson, whom Vick will appear before this morning.
Two of Vick's
three co-defendants have already received prison sentences within the
standard federal guidelines, which could be a sign in Vick's favor - or
not. Purnell Peace was sentenced to 18 months, and Quanis Phillips
to 21 months in prison (Tony Taylor, the co-defendant, will be sentenced
December 14th).
Federal guidelines set the prison term for Vick's
offense at 12 to 18 months. Judge Hudson, however, is not
bound by those guidelines, and may impose a prison term as long as five
years.
 The dogs can't
speak...but you can! If you are reading this before 10:00 a.m.
Eastern Standard Time, the trial hasn't started yet. By law, you are
allowed to make contact with Judge Hudson to give him your
input.
If you have something to say about Vick's cruel and vicious
crime, give him a quick
buzz, and tell him how you believe Vick's sentencing should go! Here is his contact info.
