Virginia Beach Vacation Goodies, As Promised
Thursday, June 26th, 2008
Okay, we promised to post some video footage of our fun and fabulous time spent in Virginia this month, so
there you have it! It was a blast. We went swimming, sunning, shopping, jet-skiing, partying, the works. We
love it there so much we're going to post some of our favorite hang-out spots in Virginia Beach for you all,
in case you get a chance to make a trip there!
For jet-skiing, we went to a spot on Rudee's Inlet,
and rented a jet ski for an hour. I'd recommend just going for the half-hour, though...an hour is really a long
time and makes for a really sore bum! Plus it's a lot cheaper. It's a must-try, though: you get to whip around
the Inlet, past the beaches, at speeds from 0-70+ mph...and if you go early in the morning, you may be lucky
enough to see some dolphins!
Our absolute favorite women's clothing store not only on the beach, but in
the United States, period is "The Look" on
26th Street and Atlantic Avenue. And if you add them to your MySpace as a friend, and mention it when you go,
you get 10% off their hot-hot-hot clothes! You're welcome...add
us, too--spread the love!
For the best crab soup in Virginia and possibly the world,
we go to Harpoon Larry's Oyster Bar on 24th Street & Pacific Avenue. It's within walking distance of
most of the oceanfront hotels, and the crab soup - full of backfin crabmeat, so creamy with a hint of
Sherry and topped with paprika - is to die for!
Little Feets Cafe below the SeaGull
Motel is the best little breakfast spot. It's right on the beachfront, and you can get a full breakfast
(and some amazing cocktails, if you can stomach them that early in the morning like we can!) for just $4.99! So
affordable and delish! Ask for our pal Chrissy and tell her the Heineken couple said hello!
Well,
that's all for now...hey, we can't give you all of our VA secrets!
Oh, and to Heineken, the brands
above, and anyone else we name-dropped (or video-dropped, really)...feel free to send us some free stuff for
next time!
