Tori Amos was wearing a
sparkly red jumpsuit (it's so hard not to say apparatus there), and
was in the middle of performing "Code Red" in San Diego, California,
Wednesday night when she interrupted the show, stopped the music, and
cussed out two fans. Two of the girls in the front row distracted
her - Amos did a double take and shouted out, "Hey, hold on! Hey,
hold on! Get the f*ck out of my show. It's a privilege to sit
in the front row. I reserve those seats for people who appreciate
music. Get the f*ck out!"
Then she mumble-garbled something, I'm not sure
what, maybe about giving the two seats to someone else. For people
who appreciate music? They bought tickets to your
concert, woman, you should be appreciating them! I wonder if those
girls' ticket prices were refunded.
A rep for Tori's record label
issued a statement, saying, "Tori doesn't sell front row seats to her
shows. She'll pick fans that are in the back row and she will
upgrade them. It is a privilege to get picked. Apparently
these two girls were on their cell phones all night...It was her sticking
up for her other fans that missed out on the opportunity."
Me-ow!
I don't know, sounded kind of vain to
me. I like Tori okay though.
I am waiting for these two girls
to surface. Were they really talking on the phone all
night, or was one just taking a call when Tori happened to glance
over, and then do the hair-flinging double-take? Okay, I'm over
it.
