Trial Date Set
For Tawny Kitaen's
Fraud Allegations
Monday,
February 25th, 2008

Poor Tawny Kitaen. Things haven't gone
so well in the past few years for the actress Julie "Tawny"
Kitaen, who is perhaps best known for her role in a popular
Whitesnake music video, followed up by TV appearances from
Seinfeld to the Surreal Life (in which she told off
Florence Henderson - bad move!).
In the past decade, she's been
arrested for alleged vandalization, charged with domestic abuse and
battery against former husband Chuck Finley, charged with possession of
cocaine; and now, in her latest battle, Tawny is still in and out of court
for fraud allegations she is placing against the former "man of her
dreams," Philip Cyburt.
In a lawsuit filed against Philip W. Cyburt
in the summer of 2007, Tawny alleges that Cyburt drained funds from her
accounts without permission. According to CourthouseNews.com, Kitaen first noticed "significant
funds" missing from her Merrill Lynch brokerage account, and a "bizarre"
chain of title on her real estate holdings; she also alleges that Cyburt
charged about $135,000 on her credit cards, used her airline miles, forged
her name on checks, and robbed her of more than $3 million in the course
of their four-year relationship.
Now over six months since the
lawsuit began, a trial date has been set for October 1st,
2008. The last
motion, which was a lot of legal jargon, was filed by Cyburt's defense
team, requesting that the court require Tawny to provide further
documentation of her allegations to all parties involved in the suit.
