One out of every three
Americans are under extreme stress

One third of Americans - including me! -
are experiencing extreme stress levels over work and money, causing them
to overeat, drink, and smoke. Well, I don't overeat, I undereat,
but I am definitely stressed!
The American Psychological Association
(APA) did a study of personal relationships, work productivity, and
health, and found that 1/3 of American's stress levels have shot up in
the past five years.
Almost three-quarters of people cited work
and money as the main source of stress in their lives, followed by the
amount of work they have, and raising their children. Main reasons
for stress at work were low salaries, too much to do, and a lack of
opportunity.
Seventeen percent are led to drink too
much, and 66% of smokers have had their cigarette quota shoot up.
Stress caused some people (me!) to skip a meal, but 43% found comfort in
overeating.
There's your news, I'm off to cuss out the
economy.
