The
Full
State Of
The Union By President Bush Video
Tuesday,
January 29th, 2008
Above is the full 53-minute video of
President Bush's State of the Union speech yesterday (thanks to CapNews.net!). Or, if you don't feel like
watching the entire thing, we of course are providing you with the
highlights and our classic sarcastic commentary - as always, in
pink.
It opens, surprise, surprise, with
Nancy Pelosi and her unnatural nose job cheesy
smile. Anyone who doesn't believe that both the Republican and
Democratic party leaders are corrupt need just glance at every single
State of the Union where Nancy Pelosi - whom many people depended on to
initiate impeachment proceedings against President George W. Bush and
Vice President Dick Cheney - announces the President, beaming
lovingly.
Bush cracks jokes throughout, which the
puppets audience chuckle at on cue. He's quite a
performer, isn't he?
"Let us show them that Republicans
and Democrats can compete for votes, and cooperate for results at the
same time." [insert obligatory applause]
A-ha!! So he admits the Dems are in bed
with the Republicans! P.S.: Are we the only ones who notice
the irony of the gavel sitting perfectly between Cheney, Bush, and
Pelosi?
"As Americans, we believe in the power of
individuals to determine their destiny."
We also believe in the ability of the
political media
to lie to said individuals.
"As we meet tonight,
our economy is undergoing a period of uncertainty."
Yes - thank you for that!
"At kitchen tables
across our country, there is a concern about our economic
future."
Haaaaaaaaaa hahahahahah!!!
What do you know about what goes on at kitchen tables across
this country?! While you continue your predetermined war against a
sovereign nation, leaking trillions of dollars from our country; while
American citizens were struggling to make ends meet and buy gifts at the
same time this last holiday season, this is how you spent your
Christmas.
Booooooy, don't even
get me started.
"So last week, my administration
reached agreement with Speaker Pelosi...on a robust growth package that
includes tax relief for individuals and families, and incentives for
business investment."
You must
fast-forward the slider on the above video to 03:45 and watch Nancy
Pelosi's face when he said that.
"We have other work to do on taxes...the less Congress
acts, most of the tax relief we've delivered over the past seven years
will be taken away...others have said they would personally be happy to
pay higher taxes. I welcome their enthusiasm. Pleased to
report that the IRS accepts both checks and money
orders."
How much money did this
audience need to be paid to clap to that? More
taxes?! Your citizens are buying their necessities at the
dollar store, Mr. President!
You know what, we can't watch this anymore. We got
to 5 minutes and 28 seconds of the 53-minute speech. Can't do
it.
Maybe later tonight, after a very good glass of wine (that
we'll have to bust out from our pre-Bush era stash), we can watch and
comment on some more.
But it's very difficult to watch something
when you feel this betrayed by the administration that moved the money
we so desperately need for our economy and our healthcare, our poor, our
middle class, overseas.
It's hard to listen to someone we have zero trust
in.
The good news is, we've come so far since the last State Of
The Union address - both professionally and personally - and thank the
heavens for our family sticking by us through those tough times...and
are looking forward to a presidential candidate that has the anecdote
for America.
Wait! There's more! More News
