First We Get Hacked, Then The
Spice Girls...

The Spice Girls have joined us in the long list of victims
of cybercrime. Several websites have claimed to be representing
the Spice Girls and sent out a cancellation for one of their concerts -
but it was a fake. A spokesman for the group said that contrary to
the false information, the girls will still be scheduling a gig in
Buenos Aires in February.
"The Spice Girls would like to make it
clear that they have not cancelled their Buenos Aires show," the
spokesman said in a statement. "A story has appeared on several
webesites that includes a fake e-mail and competition from the
girls. The fake e-mail claims that due to the demand so far in the
UK and the US this show is going to be cancelled.
"The e-mail
goes on to say that they will be running some competitions for their
South American fans to travel to the UK to watch a show.
"This is
not the case and the e-mail is 100% unofficial and has nothing to do
with the Spice Girls."
Emma "Baby Spice" Bunton, Geri "Sexy
Spice" Halliwell, Melanie "Scary Spice" Brown aka Mel B., Melanie
"Sporty Spice" Chisholm, and Victoria "Posh Spice" Beckham will be
kicking off their world tour on December 2nd. (And,
no, I did not know all of their full names and Spice titles off the top
of my head, I looked them up...)
