Today is National Spay Day USA, all!
To celebrate the movement to help end pet homelessness in the United
States, the Humane Society of the US (HSUS) is having a Spay Day USA Pet
Photo Contest! With a chance to win prizes ranging from cool
gift baskets to a $1,400 portrait of your
pet(s), it is all in celebration of the hundreds of organizations
nationwide who hold spay/neuter events across the country, to make
controlling the pet overpopulation problem feasible.
The contest is
free to enter, and you have until March 7th to upload a
digital photo of your furry friend to be entered into the contest.
Once entered, the HSUS will send you an e-mail with instructions on how to
get votes - the pets that finish in the top 500 pets by popular vote will
be winners!
It's also a great chance to do a little writeup of why
your pet makes you so happy. So go on, enter your pet today,
vote for other pets, and while you're there check to see if there are any
Spay Day events in your area today!
