Sarah Jessica Parker Signs With HBO

Sarah Jessica Parker's new comedy The Washingtonienne has been picked up
by HBO. But this time SJP won't be in front of the camera. She's the executive
producer. They've been scouting locations in Maryland to shoot the pilot.
The series is to be based on the book by Jessica Cutler about a young lady who
seems to resemble Kim Cattrall's character from Sex in the City. Rachel
Taylor, Amanda Walsh and Bitsie Tulloch have been cast in the lead roles.
HBO has also signed Will Ferrell and Harpo Studios (Oprah in case
you didn't know) to produce shows. Of course Oprah has her own network now so
she'll be doing unscripted shows there.
Sounds like exciting changes are
in the works over at HBO. We'll just have to see what comes of them!
