What a happy story! An
18-year-old boy was volunteering as a bell ringer at a Pottsville,
Pennsylvania mall on Monday got an anonymous $3,000 donation from
an "older man with glasses, a flannel shirt and jeans," the AP
reports. It wasn't the first time the man had made a donation, said
Andrew J. Hunt, the Salvation Army volunteer, but it was the first time he
gave three thousand dollars! Andrew said he wanted to thank the man
in person, but doesn't know his name. The Salvation Army of
Pottsville, PA has $6,000 for it's "Red Kettle Goal" this year, so they
are already at least halfway there.

To see all of the many ways you can help The Salvation
Army of the US make a difference this holiday season, visit SalvationArmyUSA.org
. On their homepage, you
can watch Kelly Clarkson's new video message (with background
Christmas music!) about how the sound of a ringing Salvation Army bell is
a "sound of hope" for thousands of people in need. Or, you can stop by ConnieTalk's own online red kettle, and drop in a penny or
two! You can even host your own online Red Kettle... here's
the link if you'd like to
join our team kettle and post it on your website of MySpace page, all
proceeds to go to the US Salvation Army!
