Rosie O'Donnell Opts To Quit Blogging
Tuesday, January 27th, 2009 by Connie T.

For the past few months, what little was posted on Rosie O'Donnell's website
contained hints that the actress/comedienne was wrapping up her days of blogging. Her
homepage began redirecting readers to Rosie's Broadway Kids, with a single link trackback
to seldomly updated information (and we can relate to that after surviving another bustling
holiday season!).
Today, O'Donnell published an article from People on her site,
with a quote of herself that resonated with finality.
"It's not worth it. It wasn't providing
the joy that it used to," she told People. She did say, however, that she would continue
to put up "pieces about [RBK]."
"When I started to blog, no one knew what a blog was," O'Donnell said. "Then
it got so commonplace, it was...being used on entertainment shows."
RBK, or Rosie's Broadway Kids, is an arts, music, & education
program for kids (mostly those under the poverty level). The kids have performed on Rosie's variety show
special, the Rachael Ray show, and at the annual live Christmas tree lighting celebration at
Rockefeller Center in NYC.
