Rosie O'Donnell's Gone, But Not Really

I'm not sure when exactly I began reading Rosie O'Donnell's blog, but I was hooked ever since the first visit. She lets you into her world, of cruises and Broadway, touring with Cyndi Lauper, her smattering of celebrity friends that make occasional joint video blogs with her, photographs of her family and her fans, and an almost-daily Q&A with visitors to her site.

On July 29th, Rosie announced on her site that she is taking the month of August off from her blog, to "see if she could."

That news was a downer (and on my birthday, too!), and since then I can honestly say I've missed her presence on the blog - so much so that yesterday I resorted to watching old clips of The Rosie O'Donnell Show and remembered all over again what a genius comedic presence she carries.

There are rumors that Rosie is in talks to do a show on MSNBC, which may have something to do with her blog break - she was being barraged with questions about it that she was wary to answer (after the last time when talks failed right after she confirmed the possibility on her site).

I'll let you in on a little secret, though - Rosie hasn't left her blog entirely. Though her homepage is set to redirect automatically to Rosie's Broadway Kids, if you hit the Stop button in your browser before the reload takes place, you'll see that she changes the background color and continues to add photos almost every day.
