UPDATE: Regarding the YouTube
video below: According to the Boston Globe, columns on the
spreadsheet you saw were incorrectly transposed on Wednesday morning.
McCain's column and Paul's column were "accidentally" switched.
Here's their NH primaries results page - you can clearly see what was switched by
comparison. I still find it suspect -
it's very hard to believe Paul got 1 - or 0 - votes in any of the counties in
New Hampshire...Paul being a former Libertarian and New Hampshire being the
"Live Free Or Die" state. I would definitely support a recount by hand. What
do you think?
Presidential candidate Ron Paul appeared on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Monday
night. He was invited by Leno after Jay personally found out that
Paul - who was just 1% behind Rudy Giuliani in New Hampshire, and beat
out Giuliani by 6% in Iowa, and has raised more money than anyone in
the GOP - was not invited by FOX to the New Hampshire
debates.
"There's got
to be a reason why FOX is not letting him into the debates...So I called
him up last night, and I said, 'Let's find out today, why you weren't on
tonight.'" Leno opened the Tonight Show
January 7th. "Even if you don't like somebody's politics, it seems
really unfair to me to exclude them for some reason other than, like,
they're just too obscure - because he's certainly not obscure."
Leno asked Paul why FOX
News chose not to put him on. Paul replied that he tried to find
out, and FOX would not return his call!
Jay also mentioned, "Here's something
interesting: I found out about this sort of on my own,
going, 'hey, where's Ron Paul?' and then we made some phone
calls, you weren't in. I saw you interviewed with Wolf Blitzer on
CNN: it wasn't mentioned. I think - I don't want
to be unfair - I didn't see it on MSNBC or any of the other cable
channels.
"I mean, it
seems like a big story: one of the major candidates...is left
out."
Paul's most
telling answer?
"The
Republican Party in New Hampshire came to bat - you know, they withdrew
support for the party for that debate. So we give them credit."
He agreed that FOX was
being unfair by not allowing him into the debate, but the comment above
indicates that he faced censorship by the Republican Party, as well.
And, in fact, we have
found that all the major cable channels besides Leno's home at NBC, have similarly
avoided coverage of Ron Paul as a presidential candidate. When the
numbers directly
contradict the percentage of which candidate is shown to us...there is your corruption.
We have found CNN has shown some coverage of Ron Paul, including his
speech at the 2008 New Hampshire primaries this week, which no one else
seemed to show:
Ron Paul supporters - one
of whom sent ConnieTalk the following clip - are growing increasingly
distrustful of the media coverage of this election:
Now, we have not yet independently
verified the above data, and are currently going over the numbers for
New Hampshire and contacting the Boston Globe and the AP. But as
far as FOX goes, they purposefully and intentionally excluded Paul from
their coverage.
And it's apparent and unfortunate that the public
has to question the subliminally selective coverage of all of our
candidates.
If there is someone with a message the GOP and
Democratic bigwigs, the media corporations, do not want you to learn about: isn't that
all the more reason to want to learn about them?
