Did you miss Connie
T.'s appearance on RPRRadio? If so, the audio of my guest spot on
the Ron Paul Revolution Radio Channel (and BetOnRonPaul.com)
is available to listen to above! The host was Indy in Japan from
BetOnRonPaul,
and we discussed many things Ron Paul-related, including:
blacklisting by the media; Super Tuesday states and upcoming
caucuses; how Ron Paul has been treated by the mainstream as well as his
own Republican party; and much, much more!
It was a pleasure to
appear on the show, and we all took the day off to prepare for it...and
boy, did I need that! It is indescribable how inspiring and
unified Ron Paul supporters are...you can speak to one you've never
known, like the caller Rick near Harris and Lake County,
Texas, and I felt I could automatically relate to him, even though
I am a young woman from a city in the Midwest, and he is an older man
with a rough Southern accent from the Lone Star state.
I relate
to his struggle, the emotion behind his fight against the mass media
tide. The frustration in his voice; his love and respect for good
in this world.
We were lucky to hear from this gentleman, who
lives near Ron Paul's own home that Paul's lived in for 52 years; he
described Paul's mannerisms and presence, how Ron Paul sits on the same
front porch swing and mows with his same tractor, plays with his kids
and grandkids, and does all of the same things he has done all
along.
How Paul delivered his nephew, born in 1954, a baby boy
handed from Dr. Paul's hands to Rick's sister and brother-in-law in
Freeport, TX.
"This is not over, folks. This is just the
beginning," Rick told us, in his kind Texas drawl. "I've known
that man for a long time. And I know the kind of man he is, I know
how...simple, and how caring of a family man is...he's a common
man. And I just think it is such a crime that normal,
regular, everyday people can't mean something in this world we live
in."
His voice cracked, for a moment. He touched
me.
"But they do," BetonRonPaul's host Indy responded.
"They do, Rick. Believe me. I'm in Japan...and I
stopped what I was doing with my life...the first time I heard Ron
Paul's name."
Just listen to it. I
dare you not to feel for Rick from Texas.
