Dick Cheney's Daughter Is
Mitt Romney's New Foreign Policy Adviser
Monday, January
28th, 2008
Well, well,
well. It's all fitting together like a puzzle, isn't
it? Liz Cheney, daughter to Vice President Dick Cheney, has
just signed onto Mitt Romney's presidential campaign as his senior foreign
policy adviser, as reported by the Associated Press. Though both
President George W. Bush and V.P. Dick Cheney have publicly stated that
they will not be endorsing a specific candidate for the upcoming election,
that doesn't mean they won't be tossing their ingredients into the
stew.
Liz Cheney, 41, released the following statement:
"Throughout his campaign, [Romney] has distinguished himself as a leader
who can guide our country with a clear vision for overcoming the threats we face today...I look forward to working with
Governor Romney because he is the leader our country needs...[he brings]
years of experience helping to formulate America's foreign policy and to
advance democracy and reform in the Middle East."
Mitt Romney - who
enjoys ridiculously large sums of campaign donations
from Goldman Sachs (who also are the top funders of Barack and Hillary's
campaigns) - was the candidate given the most speaking time of all the Republican
candidates in the recent Republican debate in Boca Raton, Florida, as we
reported.
One would think that with the immense outpouring of
support from grassroots organizations and individuals towards Ron Paul,
the GOP and their corporate connections would want to back a Republican
candidate that actually had a shot at winning the thing.
But if one
thought that, they would be forgetting the "and their corporate
connections" part.
Does the GOP want a president that rightfully
desires to eliminate the IRS? No.
Does the GOP want
a president that will increase corporate taxes and decrease the pressure
of Uncle Sam on the little guy? Uh...no.
Does the GOP want a
president that is not bought and sold by corporate sponsors?
No.
Does the GOP want a president that can continue the illegal war
that Bush and Cheney started without a declaration of war from
Congress? Obviously.
Of course, this is just our opinion -
and we've only been reading and analyzing politics and the mainstream
media for a little over a year - what do we know?
Wait!
There's more! More
