ON OCCUPYING IRAQ

Paul says, "I
don't even think they should have gone, so keeping them for 100
years?! Where's the money going to come from?" He adds
regarding the Crazy Daytime Talkshow incident above, "You know, this
country is in bankruptcy. And when I listen to this argument, I
mean, I find it rather silly, because they're arguing technicalities of
a policy they both agree with."
FINALLY someone acknowledges that!!!
"They agreed with going in;" Paul
said. "They agreed for staying, agreed for staying how many
years? And these are technicalities. We should be debating
foreign policy, whether we should have interventionism or
non-interventionism; whether we should be defending this country or
whether we should be the policemen of the world...and how are we going
to have guns and butter?...And we have these silly arguments going on
about who said what when. I think it's time to debate foreign
policy and why we don't follow the Constitution and only go to war with
a Declaration Of War."
The audience applauded.
Then Huckabee
got a shot to speak up, and said, "Well, first of all, I didn't
come here to umpire a ballgame between these two [McCain and
Romney]. I came here to get a chance to swing at a few
myself. So I'd appreciate maybe a question that we could talk
about that would involve some of his down here at the end who've been
left out of the discussion [Huckabee and Paul]."
There may be many things
about President Bush and the war that Huckabee agrees with, that we
don't, but by God I would have hugged the Huck for that comment, for
standing up to Anderson freaking Cooper.
Huckabee continued, "Let's just hope it doesn't
take that long [100 years]. But the one thing I do agree with is
that we need to leave with victory, and we need to leave with
honor. And the reason we need to is because, if we leave a bigger
mess in Iraq than there is now, it is not just going to affect
Iraq. It's going to affect the rest of the Middle East. And
with all due respect Congressman Paul - and I do think you're right, we
don't want to be there for 100 years - but however long it takes to get
out of there with victory and with honor."
McCain
says that "100 years" quote was a "false argument," and that
"we're going to be there for some period of time, but its American
casualties, not American presence."
How can there be casualties when no one is
present?
"We've got the
troop right next door in Kuwait," he says. "We'll probably have
them there for a long time. We have troops in Bosnia. We've
had troops in South Korea for some 50 years." Isn't anyone going
to whisper in his earpiece, Shhh...there are a
lot of Americans who didn't know that,
either!
"We are
succeeding. We are succeeding."
Now it's Janet Hook's turn to lie, and she says,
"Okay, Governor Huckabee, we're going to shower you with questions now,
ok?"
Romney kept his piehole shut during
this segment - but don't feel bad for him, he got the most questions of
all the candidates, just like in the Florida debate. But on the
topic of Iraq, during the Crazy Daytime Talk Show segment, Mitt Romney
reiterated many times that he "will not pull troops out of Iraq" until
the mission is "successful."
In conclusion: both Ron Paul and Mike
Huckabee were given the shaft in this debate. It wasn't fair,
plain and simple. It was also the last debate before Super
Tuesday, so even if Paul and Huckabee were miraculously given adequate -
and by adequate, we mean equal which is
what news is supposed to be - media coverage from now until Election
Day, CNN and MSNBC have succeeded in censoring two of the largest
national debate for the Republicans.
However, while McCain and Romney supporters can
take heart that their candidates are being splashed all over the front
pages - what Huckabee and Paul supporters should keep in mind is that
what people are talking about who are not as familiar with the Ron Paul
or Mike Huckabee campaign as you are (and unfortunately, there ARE
many Americans who try to avoid politics - probably for these very
frustrations) - what THOSE people are talking about and hearing about is
why the mass media is cutting those two candidates off. Why
they're not giving him the speaking time.
This attempt at a debate by CNN and
the one by MSNBC are such THINLY VEILED attempts to present biased media, that it's impossible NOT to see what they're doing to anyone that sat
down and watched the debate.
Take heart, all take heart, let them have their
bias and choose your own media outlet, that covers everything
equally. As we said before, we have great hope for the American
media. Because right now, bloggers are more popular than ever, and
Google - who is still the #1 search engine in the world
- does not discriminate against any company that wants to put their
headlines up on Google News (including us).
And everyone who watched
either of those debates - Florida or California - could not deny the
FACTS, which are that Huckabee and Paul were treated unequally, given
FEWER questions, given far less time to respond. And for everyone
that watched the mess tonight is going to wonder why those two candidates' messages are going
to be censored, and guess what they're going to do?
Google it.
We received such an
amazing response from our last expose on this unfair
treatment, and had hundreds of petitions sent in to the corporate
headquarters of MSNBC, and their advertisers for the Florida debate,
Best Buy and Capital One.

1. Ask - no, DEMAND - that CNN provide equal coverage
to all of the candidates that are still in the race. Every one of
them deserves the respect and acknowledgment of having the same platform
for their message, regardless of what that message may be. THIS IS
AMERICA.
