Presidential Puppy Is All Decked Out
Tuesday, April 14th, 2009 by Connie T.
The Obama's new puppy. Nice outfit, huh? White House photo
President Barack Obama finally put the puppy curiosity to rest
by releasing a photograph of the family's new dog, a 6 month old Portuguese water dog
that ten-year-old Malia and 7-year-old Sasha named "Bo."
The President had
pledged to
adopt a dog in need of a home from a shelter, but the pup Bo was a gift from Senator Edward
M. Kennedy (no, that didn't get him any press) who raises the breed and released a statement
saying the Kennedy's "couldn't be happier" to bring the Obama girls a new pet.
Hopefully
Mr. Obama considers adopting a second dog from a shelter; he can fulfill his promise and get one
dog for each daughter as well! It's not like there's a lack of space.
I know, you're expecting
us to cover more pressing issues besides the heritage of the new White House pet. Well, we're just returning,
let us ease back into things ;-)
