Popcorn Prices Skyrocket!

Have you noticed how expensive it is to score a bag of popcorn at the movies
lately? And it's not like you can stuff a bag into your purse and sneak it in like you can a
box of Sugar Babies.
It's getting more expensive because of gas prices but not for the
reason you'd think. Corn prices are going through the roof because of ethanol production. Even
though ethanol isn't made from popcorn, companies are paying a premium price to keep the
popcorn growers from switching to the kind of corn ethanol is made from. This is serious
stuff. We could be facing a popcorn shortage!!
I can see it now, a woman is making her
grocery list and asks her husband, "Honey, do you want a beef roast or popcorn this week?"
Sheesh!!
