Virtually Style An Outfit Before You Buy
Wednesday, July 2nd, 2009 by Connie T.
We are loving Polyvore, a free site we recently came across that allows you to set up
a collage of fashion, interior design, art, or other theme by searching for, adding, and drag/dropping items onto a
blank canvas.
Once you're done with your piece, simply click the "Publish" button, and it's saved for you under
your profile. Not only can you find the online retailer of each product just by mousing over it, but you can also use
it as a print-and-go style reference for shopping...you don't have to order the Dior or Armani versions. You can use it to
put together a general idea of how you'd like to put together and accessorize an outfit.
Polyvore also hosts contests on the site: this week's, for example, is "Accessorize Your Favorite
Celebrity" with Fantasy Jewelry Box accessories; the top 5 winners will get gift cards (1st place is $200)!
We all need a little fun artsy break now and then, don't we?
