Co Burberry With 'Bloody Burberry' Video Game
Wednesday, March 26th, 2008

PETA has released on online video game
similar to their August 2007 "Super Chick Sisters" internet game that
featured Pamela Anderson against the golden chicks of Kentucky Fried
Chicken (KFC). The object of that game was to save tiny chicks
from "Kentucky Fried Cruelty." The new game has a new target, and
this time it's not in the fast food industry. It's famous British
clothing company Burberry, who's known for their plaid and checkered
handbag and label design.
The game is called "Bloody Burberry," and
the object of this game, according to PETA's BloodyBurberry.com, is to save the
animals from Burberry who are being killed for their fur. The little
avengers are so cute, I want to hug one! Yes, I confess, I
played tested out the game for you.
(For the
parents: the cartoon blood in the game is nothing worse than the
cartoon screenshots here; and a full warning is provided that fur protests
should be kept legal and harmless. However, the site does have links to
fur farm footage that is definitely not suitable for children, so parental
supervision recommended!)

"The corporate bigwigs at
Burberry think that they can get away with selling the fur off the backs
of animals who have been tortured on fur farms," the game's intro
reads. "No matter how many times they're shows videos in which
animals are beaten, electrocuted, and skinned alive for their fur, they
still refuse to stop raking in the profits from an industry founded on
torture."
The object of this game is
to get your "animal avenger" character to the Burberry headquarters to
protest the practice...and watch out for those security
guards!

To sign PETA's petition to Burberry, which is a
pledge to boycott Burberry until it stops using fur, just go here. Or, you can contact PETA or Burberry directly with your own custom
message.
