Veteran singer / actor Robert Goulet, Camelot and Broadway star, has died. He was 73. The Broadway star passed away at Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on Tuesday morning, after doctors failed to find a suitable donor transplant to treat the lung disease, Interstitial Pulmonary Fibrosis.

The city of Garfield Heights, which is a suburb in the Greater Cleveland area, began a "pit bull ban" this week, because city leaders believes the dogs are not safe to have, even as pets. Bush shot down a bill that would expand a popular children's health insurance program, which would have cost $35 billion over the next five years and would have doubled the number of children eligible for state health care.

Wednesday cocktail: Blueberry martini

This is another story that warrants my introduction of "oh puh-leeeeze." Which does include a hyphen. This, by the way, is a hyphen - and I hope you knew that. The latest edition of the Shorter Oxford English dictionary has taken the hyphen out of 16,000 words to shorten them

PETA wants to save Michael Vick...we get it, but no
Early last month, Michael Vick paid a prearranged visit to PETA's headquarters in Norfolk, Virginia, to meet with PETA president Ingrid Newkirk. She told him that PETA's position remains firm on Vick deserving jail time and a lifetime ban on contact with animals. But she offered him a chance to take a course in basic animal empathy.
