It seems that Nicholas
Cage needs a new tax adviser. The IRS is questioning his
writeoffs of limos, meals, gifts, and personal jet travel in the amount of
$3.3 million dollars. The write-offs were taken by his production company
Saturn. Once they deny those deductions they will go back and amend his
personal taxes to reflect that income.
Nick's spokespeople said the
items were needed for security purposes but the IRS isn't buying it. So,
he filed a U.S. Tax court lawsuit. disputing the $814,000 in taxes and
penalties and his company is refusing to pay the IRS.
I don't know
about you, but I think this may cause them to red flag his returns from
now on.
