22nd News Roundup, Stuff You Don't Want To Miss
Thursday, May 22nd, 2008

Alright, who posed as Cindy McCain
in Vogue? The Washington Post
has snagged a thumbnail of John McCain's wife, who
has posed for the June issue of Vogue Magazine. Photographer
Norma Jean Roy took the shot. Seriously...she doesn't look much
like that, does she?

What?! Just when we though Texas
courts were doing great, a TX court of appeals ruled today that the State of
Texas had no right to seize the more than 400 children from the
Yearning for Zion Ranch (of the FLDS
polygamist sect). Uh...yeah they did?!
Blast. Federal
forecasters said today that the 2008 Atlantic hurricane
season might be busier than normal, with a "good chance" of six
to nine hurricanes forming. Hopefully no one gets hurt! And
they'd better clear up before we get there, that's all I'm
saying...because you know we're hoping to be blogging beachside
soon!

Job burnout? We totally feel that one! CNN
& CareerBuilder list the ways to recognize whether or not you're
suffering from job burnout...although, it feels pretty obvious, doesn't
it? Still interesting to read, though.
Sad!! The Tasmanian Devil, due to a facial
tumor epidemic (which we first told ya' about back in October of
2007...yikes, ConnieTalk feels old!) are now officially on the
Endangered Species list as of this week. But good news...there's
something you can do to help!
To read more about the Tasmanian Devil, what
researchers are doing to save them, and info about volunteering and/or
donating, just visit tassiedevil.com.au. As little as $2 could make a
huge difference for these cute, feisty animals!
