New Kids On The Block Reunion, Told Ya So

The New Kids On The Block are coming back, and we so told you second only to People Mag.  After the late-January speculation, Danny Wood came out and said that there is not a reunion planned and it was just rumors, but we knew that was all hype.  "I wanted to address the rumors of the NKOTB Reunion Tour.  There has been no talk of this and you are getting it from the source directly," he said.  "Never say never, and you can't believe everything you read."

Which we didn't even bother reporting because it was obvious there is going to be a reunion and it was just publicity crud.  If there wasn't, those little seeds wouldn't have been planted in the media...they dragged this out to try and get attention for the tour.  Which, hey, can't blame them.

We aren't going to lie:  we were big NKOTB fans back in the day.  But to tell you the truth, we're not too excited about this.  Didn't they all kind of bomb at trying to re-enter the entertainment biz individually?  Although, the Spice Girls did that and they've made a success of their reunion tour...but we don't remember any of the New Kids On The Block being particularly good singers.  It was just those catchy 80's beats.

They should have gone off, gotten college degrees, and become UN messengers or something.
