Say A Little Prayer For
Michigan and Ohio
Sunday, December
30th, 2007

The new year will be a sad one for many families in Ohio, as 2008 will
kick off with about 1,600 Army National Guardsmen from Ohio being deployed
to the Middle East for the Iraq War. They'll be going sent to
Kuwait, and then in and out of Iraq.
Another 1,100 soldiers from
Michigan will be joining the 37th Infantry Brigade Combat Team. This
isn't on your front page news (except for ConnieTalk!), but it should be,
as it's the Ohio National Guard's biggest call-up since World
War II.
According to the Guard, there are only about
300 other Ohio Guard members deployed there now. I found far more
info on their purpose and whereabouts than I feel I should have,
which makes me uneasy, because I feel the news stations report far too
much about where we deploy and why.
It is still a war, after
all. No one tells us the truth about why we're there, yet they'll
tell us all the headquarters and missions and names.
Please pray for our Ohio and Michigan
soldiers!
