Nas Petitions Fox News, Challenges Bill O'Reilly
Thursday, July 24th, 2008 by Connie T.
Rapper Nas was on Comedy Central with Stephen Colbert last
night, and the two were sitting on crates filled with 620,127 signed petitions to Fox News
Chief Roger Ailes. As you know from ConnieTalk TV,
Nas released a song called "Sly Fox" calling out the network for various misdeeds.
The petitions Nas initiated are a collaboration with ColorOfChange.org,
entitled "Demand Fox stop race baiting and fear mongering."
Among the justifications for
the petition are E.D. Hill referring to Barack and Michelle Obama pounding fists as a "terrorist fist
jab," and labeling Mrs. Obama as "Obama's baby mama."
"Your network must find a
solution to address racial stereotyping and hate-mongering before it hits the airwaves," the
letter states.
Nas has been publicly challenging Bill O'Reilly to a debate for
nearly a year now, to no avail.
