American Music Used To Torture Detainees
Monday, December 15th, 2008 by Connie T.

The AP is
reporting that in Guantanamo Bay, Iraq, and Afghanistan, detainees of the U.S. government are being tortured
by the music that American's listen to for pleasure. Ranging from AC/DC to Queen, Pantera,
Eminem and Dr. Dre, Rage Against The Machine, and even the "I Love You" Barney song,
music is blasted full-volume up to 16 hours at a time as a means of "breaking" prisoners.
The musicians, of
course, were not asked permission for their music to be used in such a way, and a group of them has banded together
in silent protest of the tactic. Although the FBI told the AP that the technique is no longer being used,
they did not say it won't be used again.
You can learn more about the musicians' protest and/or join the
petition at ZeroDB.org.
