Miley Cyrus Talks Faith On Barbara Walters Special

Barbara Walters, the mother of all media (in a good way - we love Barbara) sat down with Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus on a "Barbara Walters Special" portion of The View that aired today.  She asked 15-year-old Miley what a lot of us who have seen Miley in the celeb rags have wondered about the girl:  how does she plan to remain grounded and ensure that her life won't fall victim to the types of tragedies that have befallen Britney Spears and other Disney stars?

Miley responded that she has a family that will tell her the truth even if it hurts, but above and beyond that she has faith that keeps her strong, and relies heavily on her religious beliefs to remind her that "going out and the parties" and materialistic things are not what matter in life.

I hope she's right.  Miley is such a sweet, pretty little doll that I want to cover with a glass case from this tabloid era.  Joy Behar's response to the clip was, "Nice couch, whose couch is that?"  Ms. Joy has better one-liners than Eddie Murphy after dark!  Hilarious.
