In Memory Of Sgt. Michael H. Ferschke, Jr.

Sgt. Michael H. Ferschke, Jr. of Maryville, Tennessee died on
August 10th in Salah ad Din province, Iraq, from wounds suffered in a hostile small arms
fire while supporting combat operations for Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Sgt. Ferschke was
assigned to the 3rd Reconnaissance Battalion, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary
Force out of Okinawa, Japan.
He was just 22 years old. Michael had been deployed
to Iraq in March. He and his wife had just found out that they are expecting a baby,
due in January.
