Bob Barr, The Libertarian Party Candidate
Friday, October 31st, 2008 by Connie T.

As promised, we're counting down the third party presidential candidates
before election day for you, so that you have all the information you may need. Bob Barr
is the Libertarian Party candidate, a former member of the U.S. House of Representatives, and
a former federal prosecutor.
For his political positions, Bob Barr is against same-sex
marriage, having authored and sponsored the Defense of Marriage Act in 1996 stating marriage is
only between a man and a woman.
He was in favor of the Patriot Act, but now publicly
regrets that.
He was a strong proponent of the war on drugs and is against medical
marijuana as well.
Bob Barr voted for the Iraq Resolution, but now calls for the withdrawal
of U.S. troops from Iraq.
Barr favors a form of consumption tax such as the FairTax plan.
Some of the most vocal advocates of FairTax have been Mike Huckabee and Mike Gravel.
Bob Barr was the first person to introduce an impeachment resolution against former President Bill
Clinton to the Judiciary Committee.
Bob Barr has been a strong critic of the George
W. Bush administration.
Random fact: Bob Barr proposed that the Pentagon ban the practice
of Wicca in the military.
Well we certainly don't have to agree with the stances of
these third party candidates to introduce them to you...but we're here for you!
