McClellan: FOX Uses White House Talking Points
Monday, July 28th, 2008 by Connie T.

It should come as no surprise after the New York Times expose
on media
trojan horses used on network news as "message force multipliers" - but now it's
been confirmed by a former insider to the George W. Bush administration: Scott McClellan.
"Certainly there were commentators and other pundits at FOX News that were useful to the
White House," McClellan told Chris Matthews on MSNBC's Hardball. He also
told Keith Olbermann that "it was done frequently, especially on high profile issues."
As ThinkProgress
points out, Fox is the network the White House used to explain how Vice President Dick Cheney
accidentally shot his friend in the face in a hunting accident; they also aired
sympathetic documentaries on both Cheney and President Bush.
Oh, and of course Vice
Pres. Cheney's travel requirements of a hotel are: fresh-brewed decaffeinated coffee,
four to six bottles of water, caffeine-free Diet Sprite, a room temperature of 68 degrees,
and all TV's to be tuned to FOX News. No joke.
