John Mayer's not for sale...But Jessica Simpson is!

I think I just figured out why the relationship between John Mayer and Jessica Simpson didn't work out.  (Oh, who am I kidding, it's obvious.)

John Mayer posted the following on his "mlog" at johnmayer.com:

  I’m not sure why I don’t turn this mlog into a pay site. Oh wait, I remember why - because I love my fans. And I don’t think you should charge money just because you could make a killing off something. I should add, though, that if I do go broke, I will need to charge money for this site so that I can have the means to buy food to take pictures of and then eat."

And then here's Jessica Simpson in New York City on Friday, making an appearance at Macy's Herald Square department store to promote her latest shoe line and handbag designs.  In addition to that and her hair extensions line with Ken Paves, she just signed a deal with Parlux fragrances (the company behind Paris Hilton's scents - blech) for a perfume line that will come out in the summer of 2008.  She's had a swimwear line, the Dessert Beauty line (which is now defunct), and various other clothing lines such as "Princy" and "JS by Jessica Simpson" (which she was later sued by The Tarrant Apparel Group over not being "actively involved" in).

Now you can have Jessica Simpson's shoes, clothes, purse, hair, makeup, and smell!

See where I'm going with this?...
