Carey Performs New Songs On SNL

Janet Jackson was
slated to perform on Saturday Night Live last night, but
according to reports, Janet was ill with the flu, and fellow pop diva Mariah Carey
had no qualms about filling in. Mariah appeared on SNL and
performed her new song, "Touch My Body," with skyhigh heels, minidress,
and her signature honey voice.
Don't get angry, Mariah fans, but very time I hear the title of that song I
think of Danity Kane's "Touching My Body" song. I can't help it, I
confess to harmonizing to their whole 2006 album in the car for at least a
month. But I'm waiting on Mariah's album, too!
Mariah also sang
"Migrate," another song off the new album E=MC2, which was a
collaboration with T-Pain.
Mariah was the musical guest
alongside guest host Jonah Hill. As we reported mid-month in February, Mariah settled on the
Albert Einstein formula E=MC2 to name her album after, although
initial reports were that the album would be called "That Chick."
T.Pain, Young Jeezy, Damien Marley, Jermaine Dupri, will.i.am, Rodney Jerkins, and The Dream are
all on the new CD. The album drops April
15th.
