Malibu Brush Fire Caused By A
Person Sunday, November 25th, 2007

A fire in Corral Canyon in Malibu is
reported to be 4,650 acres and 25% containment by the City of Malibu's
website:
"The fire is expected to be contained by
November 27th," the site states. "There are over 1,700
firefighters, 290 engines, and 19 aircraft on scene. The cause is
still under investigation."
The Fire Department has confirmed that 79
structures have been damaged or destroyed:
51 structures destroyed (49 single family
dwellings, 2 outbuildings)
27 structures damaged (24
single family dwellings, 3 outbuildings)
1 mobile home destroyed
8 vehicles destroyed

Unlike last month's fire in Malibu, this
brushfire was caused by people, the county fire inspector said
yesterday, although the exact cause - and whether or not it was
intentional - is not yet known. The fire was 40% contained as of
this morning.
