Rachel Maddow Pumps Up MSNBC's Ratings

Rachel Maddow officially took over MSNBC's 9 pm timeslot from Dan
Abrams on September 8th, and since then an average of 1.64 million viewers have tuned in
for the show - more than double the number of those who watched the same hour in the first
eight months of the year, according to the LA
Times.
And in her second week on air, Maddow even beat CNN's Larry King Live.
Rachel attributes a lot of this to the fact that she doesn't have an agenda, she says, and
does not use her show as a platform to discuss her personal political opinions.
