UPDATE: Louisiana Republican Caucus
Results: Our Media Is Screwed Up
Thursday, January 24th, 2008

May I just say that the American
media is entirely screwed up, and that we hope that's why you're
here? If THEY won't say it, WE will!
The Republican Party
of Louisiana Chairman Roger F. Villere, Jr. announced the preliminary
results of Republican delegate elections last night, of the Louisiana
caucuses that will determine which presidential candidates will move on
to the state convention for Louisiana.
Though the exact numbers
have not yet been released, and the Louisiana Republican Party (LAGOP)
is calling the results "unofficial," they have still officially
announced that Senator John McCain came in first place, calling him "an
American hero."
Congressman Ron Paul was in (what sources say was
an extremely close race) second place to McCain, and Villere said, "I
applaud the supporters of Congressman Paul for their enthusiasm...I left
the caucus with a renewed commitment to promote...limited government and
individual freedom, thanks to the zeal displayed by Congressman Paul's
Louisiana supporters."
Mitt Romney came in third, and no mention
was made of Huckabee in the LAGOP's press release.
Now, why do I say our
media is screwed up? Everywhere you turn, if Ron Paul's name must
be mentioned in the media - regardless of the fact that he has generated
the most internet searches, and the greatest amount of campaign
donaters - his name is always paired with a word like longshot.
CNN themselves admit Paul is "one of the candidates with the least
face time in mainstream media."
And, of course, who could forget
one of our top stories, about how FOX News cut Paul out of the Republican debate.
That
being said: aren't you glad you're here to find out what's
really going on?
Wait!
There's more! More
