Rapper Lil Wayne arrested and
booked in Idaho Saturday, October 6th,
2007
Rapper/hip-hop star Dwayne Michael Carter.,
Jr., aka "Lil Wayne," was arrested the morning after a concert yesterday
at the Qwest Arena in Boise, Idaho. Lil Wayne, 25, was brought to
Ada County jail and booked on a felony fugitive charge stemming from a
warrant in Fulton County, Georgia. The Georgia warrant was for
felony possession of drugs. The rapper, who MTV labels one of the
"Hottest MC's in the Game" recently told MTV, "Don't stop
believing in me. They say I'm the Hottest MC in the Game. If
you label me that, I will live up to it. Trust me." Not
behind bars, you won't!
We checked the Georgia Department of
Corrections to see if he's been transferred, and their inmate search
cracks me up. Warning: Photographs of
inmates, if available, are displayed automatically. They need a warning for that? Oh, no, not a
photo of a prisoner! It may leap through the screen! It may
shock and disturb you! These are not people we're talking about,
they're inmates, for goodness sake.
Lil Wayne has worked with Kanye West, Ja
Rule, Juvenile, and a lot of other rappers.
