PETA Pleads With Kylie Minogue To Ditch The Snake Duds

PETA followed up with Kylie Minogue in a letter today, after placing her at the bottom of their 2008 Worst Dressed List last week.  Aretha Franklin placed number one on PETA's Worst Dressed, for her habit of draping herself in furs.  Marilyn Manson was number two for his 24/7 leather fetish; then Eva Longoria, who wears anything from furs to snakeskin; followed by Lindsay Lohan, Kate Moss, and then Kylie Minogue.

To be honest I had no idea that Kylie Minogue wore fur or "python purses" as PETA pointed out.  We've seen her out and about at many events and she wasn't wearing anything cruel.<

I would think that Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen would've continued their run on the list instead - I mean, they wear fur every time they get a chance.  Going to Starbucks?  Let's wear fur!  Going to the post office?  Fur!  Wandering around aimlessly in New York City?  Fur!  Walking the dog?  Fur!

Regardless, once PETA latches onto something, they have a tendency to hang onto it with the jaws of life.  So today, they posted this letter to Kylie, explaining the cruelty of reptilian fashion (it really is gross), and asking her to reconsider promoting the "exotic skins" industry.

You know we appreciate the work PETA does, but I still wouldn't have gone there with Kylie.  She just got over breast cancer, for God's sake.  The woman has been through enough!
