Kylie Minogue Backing Charity Drive

Kylie Minogue has joined with Childline and the National Society for
Prevention of Cruelty to Children in England to help raise $93 million.
The funds will
be used to expand telephone helpline services. Their hot lines are manned by trained
counselors to help children when they're in trouble. A shortage of funds could mean that
kids who need help won't be able to reach a counselor.
Kylie told reporters that it
was difficult enough to make the decision to tell someone you were being abused. And feels
it's crucial that the kids be able to contact someone when they are able to make the
decision to do so.
