Kristi Yamaguchi First Woman To Win Dancing With The Stars

First there were twelve contestants...now there is one!  There could only be one winner on ABC's Dancing With The Stars, and for the first time in six seasons of celebrity dance competition, the winner is a woman (in America, that is).  Kristi Yamaguchi and her partner Mark Ballas were pegged for the favorite from the beginning - before the show started, even!

In February, before the season started, 36% of you voted that Kristi Yamaguchi was your favorite, more than any other contestant.

Kristi loved her time on Dancing With The Stars so much that she says she will continue to dance and is "hooked for life" now.

The season started with contestants Mario Barrett, Adam Carolla, Cristian de la Fuente, Steve Guttenberg, Shannon Elizabeth, Penn Jillette, Marlee Matlin, Priscilla Presley, Monica Seles, Jason Taylor, Marissa Winokur, and Kristi Yamaguchi.
