The Department of Defense (DOD) announced this week the death of
Marine Lance Cpl. Kelly E. C. Walters, 19 years old, of Virginia Beach,
Virginia. Walters was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
He died on
June 11th, 2008, from wounds suffered while supporting combat operations in Al
Anbar province, Iraq.
He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 6th Marines,
2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Kelly's friends and family at this difficult
time.
