Kate Winslet Thought It Was Faux
Tuesday, November 11th, 2008 by Connie T.

In the latest issue of Vanity Fair magazine, Kate Winslet is posing on a
couch atop a fur throw, wearing nothing but stockings and heels. It's a very beautiful shot - until you
find out that the fur she's lying on was skinned off of a real animal.
PETA
contacted Kate's camp after the issue came out, and Winslet's rep advised that Kate never wears real fur, and
that she was guaranteed at the photo shoot that the fur was fake. But
it wasn't!
We're usually pretty good at telling real fur from faux, but to be honest, these days we've
been tricked a few times as faux can be made to feel so soft now (luckily we check clothing labels first!).
And if you still don't get why this is ick, please visit furisdead
and then grab yourself a badge of honor here.
