A McCain Google Bomb? Count Us In!
Saturday, June 21st, 2008

We love our fellow bloggers! Chris Bowers, the managing editor of
OpenLeft, has started a bombing
campaign against Sen. John McCain: a Google bomb, that is! Bowers is
encouraging
bloggers to embed web links to nine specific news stories about McCain into
their blogs, which would raise the ranking of those news stories in Google News.
Now, we don't want to overdo it with the linkage in this article, or we'll miss
the Googlebot boat; so we're going to pick what we consider the top 3 nastiest -
and true, mind you - stories that we think news readers ought to know about.
Number one: in January of '07, John McCain voted No to the increase in
America's minimum wage, of which 75% of Americans wanted.
Now, we're sure
you've all heard this one, but let it really sink in: McCain would be
"fine" to keep troops in Iraq for "A Hundred Years."
And the third worst
story IOHO is McCain
defending Bush's Iraq Strategy," of which only 20-30% of Americans (usually ranking
in the low 20th percentile) support.
