John Graziano To Receive Reconstructive Surgery
Monday, July 21st, 2008 by Connie T.

Dan Lamothe of the Marine
Corps Times wrote a very in-depth article about Lance Cpl. John Graziano,
the Marine and Iraq War veteran who was brutally injured when Nick Hogan (nee
Bollea) crashed his Toyota Supra while speeding and under the influence.
Graziano is
still unconscious and near comatose at James A. Haley Veterans Hospital in Tampa, Florida. He receives
physical therapy including a machine that gives his body the exercise of walking.
Doctors
long ago removed a portion of his skull in order to allow room for the swelling of his brain; Edward
Graziano, John's father, said that John is scheduled for reconstructive cranialplasty surgery in
the near future. The missing part of his cranium will be replaced with acrylic bone.
Our
thoughts and well wishes continue to be with John Graziano and his family and friends.
Nick
Hogan, meanwhile, has served less than three months of his 8-month sentence, and is still
in Pinellas County Jail.
