In Memory Of Staff Sgt. Jeremy D. Vrooman

The Department of Defense (DOD) has confirmed the death of Staff Sgt. Jeremy D. Vrooman of
Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Sgt. Vrooman was killed in action on July 15th in Baghdad, Iraq, from
wounds suffered when an improvised explosive device (IED) exploded while his unit was conducting
combat operations in Kn'an.
Sgt. Vrooman was assigned to the 2nd Squadron, 2nd Stryker Cavalry Regiment,
2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division out of Vilseck, Germany.
He was 28 years
old and is survived by his wife, Latrecia, their five-year-old son Xavier, one-year-old daughter
Jade, and his extended family members. Please keep them all in your thoughts and prayers.
