Save The Cows - We Are THIS Close!
Tuesday, September 23rd, 2008 by Connie T.

As we've said before, at least 13 of the 16 cases of mad cow disease
in North America have come from downed animals. Cattle, sheep, pigs, goats, and equines
who are injured or sick and are called "downed," and when they are let into the food supply
it has disastrous consequences (including the largest beef recall in U.S. history earlier
this year).
But now, the HSUS and
all of your voices are THIS CLOSE to convincing the USDA to close the loophole of allowing
animals too sick and injured to even stand to end up in your burgers.
These animals
are dragged by chains, jabbed with forklifts, poked in the eyes with electric prods, and
blasted with high-pressure water hoses to simulate drowning...who wouldn't get sick? Let's change
this now.
 Please take just a moment
and send
your comments to the USDA before September 26th, 2008, to let the agency know that the
public will not stand for this unsanitary cruelty. Your voice really matters here!
